Timas
This is the journey of Timas, one of the leaders of the Turkish publishing industry. With over 2600 books and growing by about 300 each year, Timas has been operating for nearly thirty years. The headquarters are appropriately placed in the dead-center of Istanbul, the biggest city in Turkey and the gateway between the East and the West.
We took our first steps with the intention to first light up the road, and then to let the reader find his own way. We seek to serve a pluralist and intellectual world and to do service to both humanistic and ethical values. These two principles have been our guide since the day we opened our doors for business.
While developing a cultural common ground for our country’s journalists, academics and intellectuals, we have also worked to keep in touch with our readers’ needs and expectations. This approach has paved the way for all kinds of books for all kinds of people people in the fields of literature, history and culture, religion, current affairs, family life, and literature for teenagers and children.
We never limit our publishing philosophy with local perspectives. Timas also offers many foreign works, which spread intercultural knowledge throughout the world.

L&M Publishing:
Leyla and Mecnun Publishing, which takes its title from a legendary Oriental love classic, is focused on elite literature works, literary researches, and works from history of art and literature.
L&M is also working with contemporary literary names of our time and has a mission to carry the rich cultural elements of the orient throughout the generations. We believe the world needs cultural differences as connective factors to understand each other, thus L&M might have much to contribute to the world in that sense.
Oriental classics are also a big part of L&M books with the wide variety of genres. Although L&M is relatively new to the publishing business, it is strongly rooted in the literary world thanks to the generous appreciation of the readers.
