History of Turkish Democracy
The further democratization of Turkey is a factor which affects the foreign policy of a broad range of countries, from Azerbaijan to the United States. To understand where Turkish democracy is going, one must first understand where it came from. Turkish democracy is young, and though it still has some growing to do, it has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 1923, and effectively communicating the intricacies of this development is a tall order for any historian.
