Mind Journey of Islam
A meteor shower of ideas.
Ideas are constantly bouncing off of each other in today’s world. People have far too easy access to information about other ways of thinking for ideas to remain isolated. İt then follows that it is the responsibility of any thinking individual to understand how their way of thinking relates to those of other communities. This is a book about how Islam relates to and connects to the other ideas and practices in the world. It draws a picture of the relationship between İslam and orientalism, Islam and Western philosophy, Islam and anthropology, democracy, atheism, rationalism, pragmatism, the modern state, the debates over the headscarf, tasavvuf and sufi thought structures, among many others.
