Rising from the ashes… A story woven between two Islamic sages, one modern, one ancient. Niyazi Mısri is put side by side with the modern teacher Mehmet Niyazi, who is preparing a dissertation on the MISR. However, as he is getting closer and closer to the end of his work for his dissertation, things keep getting in the way. He has problems with his wife and his son, he is starting to feel burnt-out and it starts to seem that his goal of finishing the thesis may not be possible. Phoenix demonstrates the way that the struggles that the persuit of ancient truths can be met with in modern times.
