The Empires That Changed History

The first pitched battle in recorded history, the Battle of Qa’desh, the legendary Trojan War, the Peloponnesian war, the Battle of Manzikert, the Crusades, the Hundred Years War, the Battle of Waterloo, the American Civl War, the Russo-Japanese war, World war I, Stalingrad, World War II (Normandy and Hiroshima), the Arab-İsraeli War, and the Gulf Wars. Whether it was Sultan Mehmet II lining up his soldiers in front of Constantinople’s city walls, or when President George Bush shifted ‘Operation Desert Shield’ to ‘Operation Desert Storm’ putting the US in the heart of the Middle East for a long time, leaders fight to win. This exciting book reads like a documentary, covering thirty-three wars and battles.
