The Depths of the Subconscious

The mind is a house. Every person’s mind is a house. The house has a front door, which the owner generally keeps well kept and attractive. If you are a friend of the owner, perhaps they will invite you to come inside sometimes. Then you will see at least a little bit about what sort of house they have. Maybe it is clean, maybe it is well decorated, perhaps they have lots of books. Then there is the part of the house which we don’t invite our guests into, or even go into ourselves very often – the basement. However the basement of a person’s being, that is, their subconscious, is often where the most insightful aspects of a persons nature are kept.
